We are an art studio composed of designers, coders and artists who work together to combine interactivity, animation and visual design. We create site-specific interactive installations and digital environments for retail and public spaces, events and organizations. Since 2008 we have been passionate about combining technology, design and people to create digital experiences and narrative environments. We surprise people on the street in the flow of their mundane lives. We focus on man – machine interaction through the aesthetics and impression of digital media.
Playface Intercult Exhibition was hosted at Museums Quartier Vienna in April 2011. As a collaborative exhibition of Amber Platform and Interface Culture Lab (Linz) In Situ was invited to MQ artist in residence program during this time. For this exhibition we developed Soundedge concept as a project we combine architec¬ture, light and sound via interaction. to The visitors encounter a microphone and a light stripe on the wall. The mi-crophone invite them to interact, al¬though it is not connected to the loud¬speakers. With the visitors’ involvement the line on the edge of two walls starts to gain a characteristic of their sounds. The sound produces more colors and more forms as long as the interaction con¬tinues. The line turns into a generative colorful collage which is controlled by the sound.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO SWIM IN UPSIDE DOWN COMMODE?
Location: Bremen/GermanyTasks: Concept Design, Planning, Animation, Production Team and Credits: Nagehan Kurali, Urbanscreen GmbH, Zwischen Zeit Zentrale
It is an architectural projection, which was realized on the historical water tank “Umgedrehte Kommode” (Upside Down Commode) in the heart of the Bremen. The project is a design application of a research on “Lumentektur in Urban Space”. The water tank is a historical landmark. Though its perfect location inside a modern city, presently, the building is not making any use of its appealing aesthetic value. The expression “Umgedrehte Kommode” which gave its appellation, though, shows the level of affection in public space. In this project, citizens of Bremen was approached for a social contribution by the slogan; “Would you like to swim in Umgedrehte Kommode?”.
As a public event, the performances of people were projected on the huge building with 7 meters high windows.

During Today's Art Festival in Den Haag in 2012, "Probable Needlework" invited the visitors for a contribution. They took the needle, stiched the goblen canvas and created an artwork at the end of 10 days. The visitors who entered the exhibition area were presented a set of political icons and were asked to stich a part of the icon onto a goblen canvas.
The goblin stitch played a role as the “common” that gathers the collective act of reproduction. The action of the visitor, stitching each political icon on the screen, occured as a new alternative common created by the visitor. By this way, “Probable Needlework” metaphorically questioned whether we could make an alternative approach to all these well?defined solid structures in the global political setting?

ADNAN AMCA SAYBORG MU?
It is an interactive artwork, which is realized for Amber Art and Technology Festival 2009 in Istanbul. With lectures, workshops and conferences series Amber Festival hosts many international artists and academicians every year. The concept of the year 2009 was "cyborgs" and "cyborgisation" encompassing many interdisciplinary works by the artists such as Stelarc, Uebermorgen, Bill Vorn etc.
We worked in public space in order to question the relationship between the technology and the public. Extracting the theoretical background of "cyborgs", we put it in everyday life on a street in Istanbul and observed the reactions of people through their own cyborgisations. For this aim, we projected a real time capture of the street on the display of a book store/cafe in Taksim, Beyoglu. People saw a reflection of themselves and their surroundings on the display, like a mirror. With the effect of their mobile phones or other digital devices they carry, the scene changed. The image consisted of pixelized movements. The pixelization amount was dependent on EMF levels from their handys. During this process, to emphasize the cyborgization of urban space, several text features will also appear on the display. This project exhibited at several art galleries in Istanbul as a part of the Mobile Art Project of Amber.
