"Spring-A-Jingle" is an interactive sound installation which was conceived and implemented as a Christmas mailing of the year 2008 for the Design Agency GfG /Gruppe für Gestaltung. It was exhibited for one month not only for the customers of GfG, but also for the residents and passers of the port area in Bremer Überseestadt. Dancing, jumping, running or standing still control the music via motion detection. There is not any digital device between user and digital output. Bodies of the users are the only medium between analog and digital. On what users step, touch to listen to a melody are wooden blocks on the pedestrian way and the façade of the building. People perform exactly the finger movements on the piano with their bodies so that they play the song that they want to listen to. More user create more movement, more movement outputs higher sound level with variable instruments.
