DDM VAN GOGH: CHASE THE LIGHT – INTERACTIVE IR WALL

In this large-scale interactive installation, Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Wheatfield with Crows merge into a single, living canvas. Projected across a 10-meter wall at the Digital Experience Center, the work invites visitors to explore the emotional landscape of Van Gogh through movement and touch. Embedded infrared sensors detect each gesture—wherever a hand glides across the wall, fragments of Van Gogh’s letters appear, revealing his reflections on light, nature, and the act of seeing.  A seamless blend of art, technology, and empathy, the piece transforms observation into participation—turning the viewer into part of the painting itself.
