Designed and developed by Design in Situ, this interactive play zone welcomes young visitors into Van Gogh’s world of Sunflowers.
By merging art, motion and discovery, the installation transforms each step into a moment of growth, where digital flowers bloom underfoot.
Part of Van Gogh: Chasing the Light, the work titled Step by Step Into Light extends the idea of Sensory Flow onto the ground, finding meaning through movement and play.
Every step reveals Van Gogh’s sky tones and sunflowers, creating fleeting images that exist only in the moment — alive, bright and full of wonder.
Now open at the Digital Experience Center (DDM).

We present Sensory Flow, an interactive wall designed and developed by Design in Situ for Van Gogh: Chasing the Light at the Digital Experience Center (DDM).
Here, light, motion and touch come together to awaken Van Gogh’s world once more. With every gesture, his words emerge softly across the surface, echoing fragments from his letters and guiding visitors through an intimate dialogue between art and emotion.
